Five Guys Nutrition Facts & Calorie Calculator

Five Guys does not publish a calorie count for a finished burger, and that is the single most important thing to know before reading this table. Its guide lists every component on its own line — the patty, the bun, each slice of cheese, each of the fifteen free toppings — because every order is built to order at the counter. So build your order in the calculator on this page: add the bun, add one patty for a Little Hamburger or two for a regular, then add the cheese, bacon and toppings you actually ask for. Fries, milkshake bases and each shake mix-in are all listed separately for the same reason.

Five Guys Nutrition Table

Serving sizes are the weights in grams that Five Guys publishes. Where the chain buys the same ingredient from more than one supplier it publishes a separate line for each, marked “(Supplier S)”, “(Supplier D)” and so on, and those lines sometimes disagree slightly — both are kept exactly as published rather than averaged. Cells the guide prints as “<1” rather than a number are left blank here instead of being shown as zero. Two quirks are reproduced as printed: Five Guys lists the Mini Patty inside its Bun section, and the guide's own “calories from fat” column occasionally disagrees with its total fat figure. All fries are cooked in 100% peanut oil, and bulk peanuts are served in the dining room.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many calories are in a Five Guys cheeseburger?

Five Guys does not publish a figure for an assembled cheeseburger, and this page will not invent one. The chain publishes components instead: a hamburger patty is 302 calories, a bun is 240, and a slice of cheese is 70. A regular Five Guys cheeseburger is two patties, so those three lines are the starting point — add the bacon, sauces and toppings you order on top. The calculator on this page adds them up for you.

How many calories are in Five Guys fries?

A Little Five Guys Style fries is 526 calories, a Regular is 953, and a Large is 1,314. Cajun Style comes in slightly higher — 540, 967 and 1,328 — and carries far more sodium: a Large Cajun is 1,658 mg against 1,327 mg for the same size Five Guys Style.

How many calories are in a Five Guys milkshake?

The Vanilla Shake Base is 670 calories for a 396 g shake, with 84 g of carbohydrate and 82 g of sugar. Mix-ins are published separately and vary widely: coffee adds 27 calories, Oreo® cookie pieces 120, and peanut butter 322. Whipped cream adds 7. Five Guys notes that shakes with two or more mix-ins will vary.

How much sodium is in Five Guys Cajun fries?

A Little Cajun Style fries carries 862 mg of sodium, a Regular 1,293 mg, and a Large 1,658 mg. The Large alone is about 72% of the 2,300 mg daily limit Five Guys cites in its own guide.

Are Five Guys fries cooked in peanut oil?

Yes. Five Guys heads the fries section of its guide "Fries — cooked in 100% peanut oil", and lists the ingredients as potatoes, refined peanut oil and salt. The restaurants also serve bulk peanuts in the dining room, at 170 calories per ounce.

How many calories are in a Five Guys hot dog?

Five Guys publishes the hot dog and its bun separately. The hot dog itself is 280 calories from one supplier and 260 from the other, and the hot dog bun is 220 calories with 290 mg of sodium. Add cheese, bacon or toppings from the lists below on top of those.
